Our Team

Cindy-Novak

Cindy Novak, President

Cindy has 30 years of experience in a variety of senior leadership roles within the foodservice, hospitality and consumer goods industries. Her intimate understanding of operations, logistics, sales and marketing gives her a unique ability to challenge, inform, energize and hold accountable any team. 

Cindy is an expert in sales team transformation, emerging leader development, and the enhancement of organizational talent in the areas of communication and coaching.  She is known for her charismatic, creative and highly engaging training style.  Her candor, energy and insights provide participants with relevant concepts and the simple, yet effective strategies to apply them. Cindy’s sensitivity to cultural nuances has allowed her to train teams in China, Japan, Singapore, Latin American, Europe and the Middle East.

Cindy is passionate about elevating women leaders by building knowledge and professional networks. She was a founding member of the Canadian Women’s Foodservice Forum and actively supports NEW – Network of Executive Women’s Mentoring events.  She is a recognized speaker and panelist for diversity and inclusion workshops. She currently sits as a member of the Academic Advisory Board for the Humber College Hospitality and Tourism Programs. 

Joan Bartlett, Senior Facilitator

Joan Bartlett is the newest member of the CL Network team. She has over 25 years of experience in a variety of senior management roles within the foodservice, hospitality and retail industries. She holds a diploma in Adult Education from St Francis Xavier University.

Joan is known for her passion and sincerity in elevating people to become the best version of themselves possible. Her ability to inspire others through her high energy and engaging training style speaks to her commitment of enhancing organizational talent. As a woman and a business leader, Joan has the ability to connect with her audience challenging them to lead, inspire and achieve.

Joan’s background in various leadership roles including sales, operations and talent development provide her with the understanding needed to enhance the development of organizational talent. She has an intimate understanding of change management, communication, coaching and performance management.
